Somatic Nidra

What is it?

Let me explain what type of class this is.

Somatic therapy comes in many forms, yoga happens to be one of them.  It is the application of using mind-body techniques to repair, integrate and heal using biomechanical, physiological, neurological and motor coordination.  We will explore all of this in Somatic Nidra classes.

Nidra in Sanskrit means sleep.  The practice of yoga Nidra is to focus inward to the body to find complete awareness. Awareness of your body, mind, spirituality and the spaces that surround you.

Somatic and Nidra practices can often be challenging to do on your own.  This is something I have personally had challenges with. The reason why I decided to create a practice merging these two modalities.

What are the benefits?

Your body is uniquely designed and has innate intelligence.  Intelligence to support, express and heal.  Whether your broken parts are physical, emotional or spiritual, this class is a great place for a reset.

🔹Find your natural rhythm.

🔹Unwind tension.

🔹Regain alertness.

🔹Gain peace.

🔹Restore balance.

Learn how to tune in and notice there are emotions that may need some attention. This is a wonderful time to just be. Be in a safe place embodying your entire self.  It is limitless what you may learn about your mind, body and spirit.  Every experience is unique and special.

About your guide

I want to share who I am and how I got here.  Through the years I have come to intuitively shift my teaching of yoga to encompass 3 parts of the body.  Awareness, strength, balance and movement, then release.

Due to my own lack of awareness I started noticing my surroundings, using the sense of smell, touch, sight, taste and hearing. This practice taught me to slow down.

If you know me, I am a busy gal. Always doing physical activities. These activities are good but can be excessive and compulsive. Movement with intention-listening to my body with healthy risk was slowly helping me gain power over my fears and anxieties. Confidence building for sure.

Stillness is something all its own. My lack of stillness showed me how much I stayed stuffed up with emotions and physical pain. This kept me farther away from my spiritual calling and knowing my purpose. The journey of release gave me freedom I had never experienced.

I will always proclaim to be a lifelong student. Sharing health and healing to others is a passion. We all deserve a life of wellness.

I am praying that you make time for yourself.
